Grilling precautions

Summer time is here! One of America’s favorite summer past times is lighting up the grill and cooking up some burgers. With any activity comes danger. Here are some helpful tips to the homeowners getting ready to grill up some goodies this summer.
1.) Make sure that your grill is placed far away from your home.
2.) Grills should only be used outdoors, unless they are gas.
3.) Look up! Do not use your grill under any overhanging branches.
4.) NEVER leave your grill unattended.
5.) If you use starter fluid, never add any other flammable liquids to the fire.
6.) When you’re done grilling, be sure to let the coals cool completely before disposing of them into a metal container.
Even when all proper precautions are taken, some accidents are inevitable. In case of a fire, try and use a fire extinguisher. If the situation is worse, call 911. Once the fire is put out and the damage is assessed, call SERVPRO of Savannah. We would love to make it “Like it never even happened!”
